Caen, the 3rd best student city in France!

Caen has climbed to third place in l’Étudiant’s 2024 ranking of the best student cities in France, ex aequo with Toulouse, behind Montpellier and Rennes! With 36,000 students, over a third of the city’s population, Caen is a true student metropolis. Both cultural and festive, the city offers an ideal environment in which to study and have fun.

With a total score of 90 out of 121 points, the city scored 14/20 for attractiveness, 17/20 for education, 24/30 for student life, 29/41 for quality of life and 6/10 for employment. The city’s attractive housing offer is another plus for young people looking for quality higher education and a fulfilling student life!
