The 2020 jobs survey was conducted in January 2020 with 567 ENSICAEN engineers who graduated in November 2019, 2018 and 2017.
With an 82% response rate for the 2019 class, this survey is representative of the career prospects of science engineers from ENSICAEN.
Engineers who graduated in the past 3 years are surveyed once a year. The 2020 jobs survey reveals information about their employment and career development, 3 months after graduating for the 2019 class, 15 months for the 2018 class and 27 months for the 2017 class.
STATISTICS
Three months after graduating, 95% of our engineers from the 2019 class are in work or education, with 9% completing PhD studies and 6% in further training.

ENSICAEN engineers work in a wide variety of industries depending on their chosen studies. Industry employs 31% of our graduates, information technology companies 29% and service companies 12%.
Project manager, R&D engineer, Consultant… ENSICAEN engineers work in a range of different jobs, and they change throughout their career, with 43% of our graduates working in a role with international links.

Companies with more than 250 employees employ 29% of young graduates, and large groups with over 5,000 employees 30%.
The most common contract is a permanent contract, at 85%.

The salary of ENSICAEN engineers increases quickly in the first few years. After 3 years of work, the average salary increases by €6,000.
