ENSICAEN is the product of a long tradition of engineering training in Normandy dating back to 1913. The school's distinctive characteristic is the very strong link it has forged between higher education, research & development, and industrial partners. It is a public higher education institution, supervised by the French Ministry of Education and Research.
ENSICAEN is located in the heart of Caen's vast and renowned scientific campus, along with the University, a technology institute, large national and international research infrastructures (GANIL and CYCERON), and lies close to the region's main industries.
